Good morning! It’s nice to wake up in quiet and cold morning. Our little princess is still asleep because she was still up last night even if it was almost midnight. She had a blast coloring the pages that we printed from a website.

I have been whining and ranting and complaining about my so-called misfortunes in life. But allow me to take this moment and express my gratitude to the Man Up There who knows how to balance things. Good morning from my side of the world! Just like in the past three to four days, cloudy skies have been greeting us in the morning. It rained last night and it's cold! It's another lovely day, I know, but I am feeling sick (blame it on the red flag!). I wish it would just come and not cause any more discomforts like cramps and headaches! Aaargh...

Holi(half)day
My question here was finally answered. A memo came out this afternoon declaring October 31, 2008 AFTERNOON, a school holiday. Oh well. At least we have a holi(half)day.
In case you are wondering, November 1 is a big day in the Philippines as we celebrate the All Souls' Day in advance. It's a family day for most of us as most of us go home to our respective provinces and hometowns to pay respect to our departed family members and relatives. For many, it's an opportunity to be with family and relatives. Some companies and schools declare October 31 as a holiday to give their employees ample amount of time to go home for the occasion.
When I was young and slim, November 1 used to be a big day for my brothers, my 2 male cousins and me as we get to see each other and hang-out at the public cemetery. After praying and lighting the candles, we usually get our tummies full by junk foods from the street vendors. There were cotton candies, popcorn, peanuts, soft drinks, candies and a lot more! It's like a picnic, as my mother and aunt used to tell us as they were forced to finance our eating spree! We chat and laugh and eat and the day is not complete without collecting the melted candle wax.
Now that the remains of our loved ones are transferred in a private cemetery and most of us have grown, have families and left the city (or living separate lives) visiting the graves is not that fun anymore. No more street vendors, no more street foods, no more narrow way leading to the grave and more importantly, no more cousins and brothers to chat and spend time with. How I miss those times! And how I miss the boys!

Boo Me!
This is my second post for the day and obviously, I am posting from work! Haha! It's lunch break and there is nothing else to do because it's our little girl's semestral break too. I would like to the mall and maybe look for a sturdy box cutter but with the gloomy weather, I think I will pass this time.
A funny thing happened yesterday and blame it on me. You see, yesterday morning, she was feeling lazy of going to school but I insisted. She was complaining of a non-existing headache just because she did not want to attend her classes. (She just in KD 2 and she already knows that headaches CAN prevent her from going to school! Hah!) Anyways, my father who was there also asked if the semestral break has already started and I told him that it would be on the 28th or 29th, from what I *read* in their bulletin board. So... I prepared her for school while I prepared for work. (I had a bad migraine so I took the half-day off.) But upon entrance to the university gate, I was surprised not seeing the rushing parents, pupils, nannies, grandparents, cars, motorcyles and others! Like what I said later, the school was as silent as the cemetery. Haha! So, she was sent home despite her pleadings to go with me at the office.
Hay. I felt like an irresponsible parent but hey, mothers make mistakes too! :D

Happy Tuesday morning, y'all! I am so looking forward to Friday, anticipating if it's going to be a school holiday or not. I hope it is!
Anyways, today is going to be another busy day. But one thing is for sure, we are going to be spending time with my former boss turned matchmaker turned ninang later today, along with two more dear friends. We missed her terribly because she was on a study leave for two weeks. Yeah, just two weeks and life was altered because of her absence. LOL! It's a lazy Monday though I had to report for work. I am a bit distracted by a terrible migraine but I still managed to go online. Hehe.
One thing that I look forward to this evening is eating something that I have been craving for since early this afternoon - pork barbecue! I won't divulge how many sticks or slices I had but I am so full right now, I can't hit the sack even if I am very sleepy!
I have been telling myself that I will cut on my food intake, especially during supper but I find myself starving towards the end of the day. *sigh* Again, self-discipline is my issue though I know that a diet pill can help as discussed in http://store.femnutrition.com/ephedra-diet-pills-eca-stack.html. We are nearing the holiday season and I doubt if that can help nor motivate me loose some unwanted weight! Haha!

Two more days and the our little girl will be enjoying her semestral break. I know she does not understand the concept yet, but for sure, she will enjoy the days watching TV, playing, reading and more. Papa will be here to accompany here during daytime. His grand daughter enjoys his company so much because he usually gives in to whatever her request is, like almost all grandparents do.
Since I was young, my father is my Mr. Handyman. And even if am already married, he still is. We still count on him to fix almost anything from lightings to chairs, kitchen faucets to shower heads. And my daughter knows that too. Her broken toys and watches are usually set aside until Papa comes. When I break something, she usually advices me to let Papa fix it. And he has been training and helping Wes accumulate things needed to be Mr. Handyman. The number of those tools are particularly growing. However, he's scrimping so he's been using a pink case (which used to house Kaela's stuff) as his tool box! Haha!

It was a restful Sunday. We attended the high noon Mass and then proceeded to the mall to buy me more photo albums. I am done transferring the photos from the old albums to these new, sturdy ones. You might be wondering why and it's all explained here. I took photos of the new and old albums but I am too lazy to resize and post them now. Hehe. We also bought some groceries - a must do every weekend. The heavy rains poured after about 2 hours that we got home. I love rain, especially when I am home but I did not get to enjoy it today because I was napping when it happened.

Filling Saturday
It's a sunny Sunday morning in my part of the world and we are waiting for lunch time so we can go and attend the Mass. It has been a refreshing and restful weekend so far. Last night, we went to an aunt's house to welcome my most favorite cousin who arrived. He has been working in Manila for almost three months now, that's almost right after graduation. A big corporation there invited him to work. He is doing well, as far as I can see. He is such a talented person and that corporation is so privileged to have him.
Anyways, his team conducted a youth camp in a nearby city. So he wanted to visit his mom here before going back to Manila. I did not expect him to come with his team. The training (and their visit here) lasted for a week or so, thus, I was not surprised with the number of luggage that they had.
The feast prepared by my aunt was so tummy-filling! There were grilled fish, prawns, crabs and more! And as always, my cousin and I were last to leave the dining table. In gatherings like that at their place, the two of us are the last ones who eat. We spend that time talking about things and people and places.
I went home last night with a tummy filled with yumminess and my heart, filled with joy as I get to spend even just two hours with my most loved and favorite cousin after 3 months.

1. Do you have a broad sense of humor?
:: I would like to believe so!
2. Is it possible to have a truth without an opinion?
:: Nope. Hehe.
3. What amount of money would you shave your head for charity?
:: This is tough since I have relatively big ears and guess what I have been using all these years to hide them. :) Let me think muna.
4. Do you find it easy to be totally honest with someone even though it might hurt their feelings?
:: Yeah, with some people who seems to be clueless that they are actually hurting many people.
5. When people you know are laughing to themselves while reading, do you ask them to share what is funny?
:: Yeah. I am nosy, that's why! :)
6. What stresses you out the most?
:: Sick kid and serious disciplinary cases at work.
7. Could you go one full day without speaking?
:: Yes but with two conditions: I am at home with no husband and daughter to reprimand. Haha!

It's been a while and I am sorry for being a lazy blogger. In fact, I missed an entire week of posting! My two other blogs were updated just this weekend. Well, we have gone nanny-less for about three weeks now. Our nanny's mom did not allow her to work anymore since she has a little boy to attend to. Hay. We are very thankful to my father who accompanies the girl in the mornings and brings her to school at lunch time. I have been complaining a lot but we are slowly adjusting to the situation. In fact, I have been doing chores these past days! I am not a fan of household chores in real life. Haha! But a bug just bit me and I have been *working*! And aside from that, I have updated my 2 blogs and this one, PLUS I have been EC dropping tonight! If tomorrow's a holiday, I am pretty sure I will stay up all night scrapping which is actually the main thing that I wanted to do when I turned of this laptop tonight. Oh well... Tomorrow is another day and I hope I can accomplish more.
