Good morning! It’s nice to wake up in quiet and cold morning. Our little princess is still asleep because she was still up last night even if it was almost midnight. She had a blast coloring the pages that we printed from a website.
keep her busy, especially now that it’s their semestral break.
I am off to prepare for work! You all have a great day!

Trick or Treating for Digiscrappers
The Digital Scrapbooking Day is almost upon us and I can already feel the festivities going around the digiland, as it coincides with another celebration – Halloween! Most of has saved up for this day as many digistores will have promos and sales and what-have-yous. To jumpstart the occasion, take a look at what {we are} storytellers did:
That’s 5 days of hunting at their shop for digiscrap stuff shop priced at $1 each! (How I wish hip and stylish office furniture can be bought that cheap! :D) The kits on sale change daily and there are about 20 marked-down items per day so that totals 100 items on sale in 5 days! It’s just the second day and I already gave in and bought this:
Four more days to test my self-discipline and self-restraint! Haha! Good luck to me!
Save up on Photo Books and Photo Printing and Receive FREEBIES
I have been looking for a good printing service that offers superb quality of prints and at the same
time, reliable and affordable. We have 4 years (and counting) worth of photos that need to be printed and they need to be printed and placed in albums in order
for me to retain my sanity. Haha! The ones the we have here are way too expensive. There are others that are online and a bit cheaper but then, I still have not availed of their services yet. Blame my lazy bones. Haha!
Good thing I chanced upon ArtsCow.com. Thanks to a discussion at the Oscraps forum. I can’t believe when I saw this at their website
:
Signing up is free so I did sign up and was greeted by a long list of freebies! Like Ornaments and
Photo Calendars, Playing Cards, Money Clip and even 8x8 Photo Books (20 pages). These and more will expire soon so its a pity that I can’t use them all. Interested? SIGN-UP HERE.
For now, I will be taking advantage and test their quality as I avail of my 50 4R prints. From what I’ve gathered, the only fee that I will be paying for these free stuff is the shipping fee. Check-out their Shipping Rates here. My freebie list is looong and there are more items that I can avail of . The latest date that some of them expires is after a year I’ve signed-up! They ship from Hong Kong so I am expecting that my soon-to-be-ordered orders will arrive on time.
Interested? Sign-up now! And just in case it’s OK with you, kindly use my reference link: SIGN-UP HERE. OK? :) Don’t forget that there’s more to ArtsCow than photo books and photo printing so check them out now!
Wednesday Rants
Let's see if I can stand all these pains and go to work. But before I do that, I need to finish a review on heated blanket. Some of my online friends in the US are experiencing early winter and this review can help them find the best heated blankets available.

Holi(half)day
In case you are wondering, November 1 is a big day in the Philippines as we celebrate the All Souls' Day in advance. It's a family day for most of us as most of us go home to our respective provinces and hometowns to pay respect to our departed family members and relatives. For many, it's an opportunity to be with family and relatives. Some companies and schools declare October 31 as a holiday to give their employees ample amount of time to go home for the occasion.
When I was young and slim, November 1 used to be a big day for my brothers, my 2 male cousins and me as we get to see each other and hang-out at the public cemetery. After praying and lighting the candles, we usually get our tummies full by junk foods from the street vendors. There were cotton candies, popcorn, peanuts, soft drinks, candies and a lot more! It's like a picnic, as my mother and aunt used to tell us as they were forced to finance our eating spree! We chat and laugh and eat and the day is not complete without collecting the melted candle wax.
Now that the remains of our loved ones are transferred in a private cemetery and most of us have grown, have families and left the city (or living separate lives) visiting the graves is not that fun anymore. No more street vendors, no more street foods, no more narrow way leading to the grave and more importantly, no more cousins and brothers to chat and spend time with. How I miss those times! And how I miss the boys!
Boo Me!
Hay. I felt like an irresponsible parent but hey, mothers make mistakes too! :D
Work! Work! Work!
Anyways, today is going to be another busy day. But one thing is for sure, we are going to be spending time with my former boss turned matchmaker turned ninang later today, along with two more dear friends. We missed her terribly because she was on a study leave for two weeks. Yeah, just two weeks and life was altered because of her absence. LOL! We also have pending disciplinary cases which I dread to face. Can't we just deal with the excellent? Haha! I wish!
One thing that made my day yesterday was an *announcement* that a dear and reliable student leader changed his mind and will not be resigning anymore. He is one of our hardworking and independent campus leaders and it would be a big loss if he resigns. Kaya magpapa-ice cream ako because he won't be anymore! Yey!
I am off to prepare for work! You all have a lovely Tuesday!
Loser? Not!
Monday, October 27, 2008
One thing that I look forward to this evening is eating something that I have been craving for since early this afternoon - pork barbecue! I won't divulge how many sticks or slices I had but I am so full right now, I can't hit the sack even if I am very sleepy!
I have been telling myself that I will cut on my food intake, especially during supper but I find myself starving towards the end of the day. *sigh* Again, self-discipline is my issue though I know that a diet pill can help as discussed in http://store.femnutrition.com/ephedra-diet-pills-eca-stack.html. We are nearing the holiday season and I doubt if that can help nor motivate me loose some unwanted weight! Haha!

Our Mr. Handyman
Sunday, October 26, 2008
Since I was young, my father is my Mr. Handyman. And even if am already married, he still is. We still count on him to fix almost anything from lightings to chairs, kitchen faucets to shower heads. And my daughter knows that too. Her broken toys and watches are usually set aside until Papa comes. When I break something, she usually advices me to let Papa fix it. And he has been training and helping Wes accumulate things needed to be Mr. Handyman. The number of those tools are particularly growing. However, he's scrimping so he's been using a pink case (which used to house Kaela's stuff) as his tool box! Haha!
Yey!

Filling Saturday
Anyways, his team conducted a youth camp in a nearby city. So he wanted to visit his mom here before going back to Manila. I did not expect him to come with his team. The training (and their visit here) lasted for a week or so, thus, I was not surprised with the number of luggage that they had.
The feast prepared by my aunt was so tummy-filling! There were grilled fish, prawns, crabs and more! And as always, my cousin and I were last to leave the dining table. In gatherings like that at their place, the two of us are the last ones who eat. We spend that time talking about things and people and places.
I went home last night with a tummy filled with yumminess and my heart, filled with joy as I get to spend even just two hours with my most loved and favorite cousin after 3 months.
See you in December, Reng! Love yah and keep on making us proud!
