You Know You’re a Blabber

Saturday, January 31, 2009

It was Therese’ pictorial yesterday for her yearbook. I had her made-up and she wore a pretty orange gown, thanks to Ate Ems. They were about 20 in their class and waiting for them to finish was a long wait. I did not take lunch so I was starving by 3PM. And aside from that, I was alone. There were some moms and caregivers who stayed around but since I rarely mingle with them (and I am not one of those moms who stay during class hours), there was no one to talk to while killing time since no parents/ guardians were allowed inside during the actual picture-taking. In short, I am a blabber and talking to no one for about 2.5 hours was about to kill me. I thought of sending SMS to some persons. Some replied. Others ignored me. Haha! I thought of my rescuer, my hero! Why not text him?

Me: Lord, bigyan mo ako ng kausap please. (Lord, give me someone to talk with, please.)

Wes: Workshop kami (We’re on a workshop) Notice that there was no punctuation mark towards the sentence’s end. Must mean he just sneaked to send a reply. Haha!

Me: OK. Hwag na lang Lord. Workshop daw sila. (Never mind, Lord. They’re having a workshop.)

Good thing I realized that the office of a friend is nearby so I went there and she was generous enough to share some of her food. Hehe. I was somehow full and entertained when the pictorial ended. Thanks, Ate En!

The photos will be shared later!

TGIF!

Friday, January 30, 2009

Good morning from my side of the world! It’s Friday! Yay!

What’s up with me? Well, work has been keeping me busy. We’re still preparing for the election for the student government. We have to extend the deadline of filing of certificate of candidacy because of lack of candidates. Yikes.

Anywho, today is Therese’s pictorial. I hope we’ll get good shots. She will be wearing an orange gown, thanks to Ate Emmie and will be made up by our ever dearest Tito Elden. Good luck to me since the pictorial will be early this afternoon and we’ll have a morning with the University President. Hay!

Have a great weekend!

Bad, Bad Blogger!

Wednesday, January 28, 2009

I have been a bad blogger! I am still trying to find my blogging mojo this time. Haha! Good thing my scrapping mojo is back. HERE is my latest LO share. However, *someone* was complaining because she was not included in the photos. Haha!

Anyways, work has been tough lately. Especially today. I want to just sleep and stay home. Haha! I am looking forward to a short break come February and see Yen too. I hope it will push through. :)

Enjoy the remaining days of the week!

Improving Your Home

Monday, January 26, 2009

After ending a conversation over the phone this morning, our secretary asked me if I want to buy a house. The news was that our retired faculty members (who are a couple) are selling their house which is near the university. However, we have no plans of buying a house here so I said no. Plus we don’t have the money to buy a house at this time! Hehe.

Speaking of homes, every home needs improvement one time or another. Home improvement can be expensive but then, it’s an investment! My brother in-law who studies to become an Interior Designer already practices what he’s learning in school. An aunt finds his skills useful since she is into improving her house every year. We love staying there and take photos because it’s a beautiful and cozy house.  Just ten steps from her is her parents’ house which was built with the supervision of my brother in-law. It is smaller, compared to Auntie Rose’s house but it’s cozy as well. My brother in-law always does a good job, I might say! It has small lawn with a grotto surrounded by nice outdoor plants. There is a set of outdoor furniture which dates back to the days when Wes and his siblings were just kids. It’s that old but it’s still there! It’s a a lovely place and I think  that a hanging bird feeder like this one will complete the look!   aHR0cDovL3VzLnN0MTIueWltZy5jb20vdXMuc3QueWltZy5jb20vSS9vbmxpbmVkaXNjb3VudG1hcnRfMjAzMF8yMDExODA4MDU===

Bed Mates

Sunday, January 25, 2009

Our bed fits 13 creatures! Here’s the proof:toys

Hehe. The big, pink bear is Rosie. The brown one is Boy Tots. The pink and small, pink bear is Pinky. The twin white bears in green shirts are Teddy and Bear. There’s Strawberry Shortcake, Froggy the Frog, Hippo the purple hippo, Bunny the pink bunny and Moosie the moose. Except for Boy Tots, Strawberry Shortcake and Pinky, all of them were brought from our recent vacation trip. Thanks to Laurence, Ted and Auntie Rose. And since Wes thinks that those poor thing will get lost in the mountain of toys, he ordered that they will be staying on our bed. Of course, they do multiply every now and then. From what I can see from where I sit down, a bigger frog and a monkey already joined the party! Haha!

Read My Mind

I’m tired of: being tired.

I am listening to: the sound of the crickets.

Maybe I should: be committed to my promise to loose unwanted fats.

I Wish: for world peace. (Naks.).

Chocolate is: my comfort food.

I last ate: Pinasugbo from Cebu. Thanks to my thoughtful student leaders. Hehe.

Right now I’m craving: for hubby’s company. I miss him. :(

Love is: God.

Today: I’m doing a pictorial with a one group of student leaders and visit our local Red Cross Chapter to inquire about requirements needed to bring back the Red Cross Youth organization in the university.

Tomorrow: Attend the Mass, blog about  Ephedrasil hardcore (though I don’t think I will be needing this now. I am not that overweight. Yet. LOL. And yeah,  finish all projects that needs to be uploaded to ARTSCOW!

Thank you, Chikai!

Cry Baby

This made me cry yesterday:

DSC_0259

Like what I mentioned here, there was no grand celebration when I turned 30 more than a month ago. I did not receive any gift that I asked from the Hubby that day, even the Amazon books we both saw a month ago. But then there was a grand gift. Haha!

Anyways, going back to my original story. I sponsored a very simple feast for my former and current officemates last Thursday – a belated birthday celebration. We had the favorite pancit palabok, brazo de mercedes and chocolate ice cream (courtesy of my boss). After the prayer, Ate Ces – a former officemate and the one who gave my mobile number to Wes when we first met and when he was about to leave, said “Since the treat is belated, the flowers also are belated!” while she handed me a big bouquet of roses which she kept the entire day inside the room of one of her officemates. That made me cry like a crazy girl. Haha! I don’t know why but I was touched! I don’t easily she tear but her kind act really made me so, so happy that I cried. Ate Ces’ task was to always give bouquet of flowers to birthday celebrants at the office and to some of her closest friends. I did not expect to receive anymore but I did! I’m so blessed! :)

My Friendship Style

Sunday, January 18, 2009

Your Friendship Style is Philosophical
You take every friendship you have seriously, and you spend a lot of time analyzing your friends.
You've thought a lot about what it means to be a good friend, and you hold yourself to your standard.

In return, you expect your friends to be loyal, honest, and real. You're somewhat picky about who you're friends with.
Fighting with your friends bothers you more than most people. You can't stop replaying arguments over and over in your head.

You and an Empathetic Friend: Try to understand one another. You approach life very differently, but you're willing to listen to one another.

You and a Gregarious Friend: Are a better match than expected. You understand and appreciate your Gregarious Friend's energy.

You and an Independent Friend: Get along pretty well, but you can't help but think your Independent Friend needs to learn better manners!

You and another Philosophical Friend: Are friends for life. You can get lost in your intense, interesting conversations... and maybe even change the world together!

Tired.

It’s been like last decade since I last posted here. Its just that I don’t feel like blogging these days. Maybe because I have tons of housework to do. Our weekend girl did not report for work, thus, I did all our one week’s worth of laundry. The lady who does the ironing of our clothes was out of touch too, thus, I had to prepare our clothes for this week. Hay. I can actually stand the laundry but not the ironing. Oh well.

So, it’s the third week of January already. It’s Therese’s examination week and I can’t force her to review her notes since she has been glued to her story books. She takes a peek at her text books sometimes though. Well good luck to her! Haha!

Anyways, there goes my weekend. I hope to have a more restful one next weekend. You all stay safe!

Hey There!

Tuesday, January 13, 2009

How’s everyone doing? I know I seem to have extended my online leave, even if we got back from our long vacay. It was fun and relaxing and very much rewarding and I seem to need a few more days in order for me to get back to our regular program. Hehe.

Anyways, things are pretty *normal* at work right now. I’ve already attended 1 case hearing last week, the first work week of the year! And three more since yesterday. *sigh* I am still praying every day that our students just focus on their studies and be and do good so that there will be no more heart-wrenching disciplinary case hearings and we can attend to more productive things.

There will two meetings to attend – one tomorrow and the other one on Thursday. I really can’t say that I am looking forward to attending them. Haha! The school year is about to end and that means we need to rush so many things just to meet the target. Ugh.

Stay safe and happy wherever you are!

Your Word is "Love"
You see life as possibility to form deep connections with a few people.
Relationships are the center of your world, and you always take time to bond with those you love.

You are caring and giving. You enjoy helping those you love.
And when it comes to romantic love, you feel passionately ... even in a very long term relationship.
