1. What are you doing Sunday? Attend the Mass, clean the house, fold the laundry and many other household chores that needs to be done.
2. Do you feel awkward when  strangers say hi to you? Yup.
3. Is anything upsetting you right now? Yup.
4. Have you ever seen someone you knew and purposely avoided seeing them? Yeah. It’s someone with whom it’s tough to end a conversation. One time, he was telling me about work holding and I found it tough to inform him that I don’t understand what it’s all about. Just because he won’t stop talking!
5. Do you know anyone with such a terribly annoying voice that you can't even stand it? Yeah. But I recently discovered that she is a nice person. So I now find her voice tolerable. Hehe.
6. Any message for your ex love? Life is short, choose to be happy. Hehe.
7. Do you announce when you have to pee? Sometimes. Haha!
8. Do you give out second chances easily? It depends.
9. Have you ever cried from being so mad? Of course.
10. Last time you read a text message and smiled? Last month, when our two student leader informed me that missionary priests will be financing their trip to Norway to attend the International Student Festival in Trondheim. That’s in Norway, baby!

From here.

Getting Better and Better

Monday, February 23, 2009

Tomorrow, Therese and I will be reporting to school. She missed her classes and some school activities in the past days and I am sure that she is very much excited to go back. I am excited as well. As much as this work is tiring, it keeps me partially sane. Haha! There are loads of work waiting for me, for sure.

Anyways, my girl is not so sick anymore. She has been eating a lot. I hope she gains back her weight soon. She is also asking now for Gatorade! Unlike last week when we had to fight first before she drinks it. Me thinks she began to like the taste of Gatorade Lemon Lime. Good thing her Dad bought her half a dozen of bottles. Hehe.

To end this post, let me share to you her photo. This was taken minutes before we left for her check-up last Friday. She was not feeling well but managed to smile for Mommy.DSC_0681 Ooh. She loves that white sunglasses. She even asked for it.

That’s all for now. Thanks to all our well-wishers and those who prayed with us. Thanks to our dear Kuya Ric for being always there. I always, always send him an SMS whenever Therese is sick and I am in distress. His prayers and support never fail to console us. :)

Starting the Week Right

It’s a holiday! Woot! Thanks to PGMA’s declaration of moving the celebration of Edsa Day to the nearest Monday since it falls on a Wednesday this year. Anyways, I had this morning planned out and I feel accomplished to be able to finish the tasks I listed, namely:
   - Buy a rattan chair (my dream computer chair. Haha!)
   - Get my black slacks from the tailoring shop. I had them repaired.

   - Give Wes’ one-year old gift to his godson.

   - Buy plastic baskets for the little girl’s toys. I bought three and I think we need more.

The afternoon will be spent scrapping, as planned. I am working on our daily photos last December, but I am still pondering whether it is doable or will it be just stress me out. Hehe. By the way, I have already ordered my 2nd batches of 4R and 5R prints from ARTSCOW. I initially encountered some problems and emailed their customer support last Saturday (a non-working day for them). I am very much impressed that they beat me to sending them a follow-up note that things are now OK and that my orders have been placed. Another points for ARTSCOW!

Anyways, off I go now. I will be taking another bath. That’s after 3 hours! It’s hot here, seems like summer started so early. TTFN and have a great week ahead!

My First ARTSCOW Large Print

Friday, February 20, 2009

If finding the best rv camping sites is for rv owners, discovering ARTSCOW is for digital scrapbookers and mamarazzis like me. The great deals that they offer is simply affordable and their free stuff are absolutely amazing.

One of the freebies that I took advantage of was a 12” x 18” print. I just paid about $3.99 as shipping fee. It is a collage of photos of Sea, Wes’ niece. This will be sent to her Mom (I hope she is not reading this. LOL!)  along with a photo album for my parents in-law.

Without further ado, here’s my ARTSCOW large print project. It came in a sturdy casing that looks like this:
DSC_0658aPardon the white areas. I had to hide my mailing address for security purposes. But feel free to ask me for it if you intend to send me a gift. I would gladly oblige. Haha!

And here’s my large print:
DSC_0661aThose cassette tapes were the nearest things I could find to stop it from rolling up. Hehe.

The paper used was Fuji, matte. No finger marks or anything even if it has been held by countless people. Of course, I have to brag ‘no? :D

I bless the day I found ARTSCOW!

Still Sick

What a day!

We woke up so early since Therese was already up and feeling worse. She was throwing up! Good thing she was able to fall asleep again and so did I. We woke up around 9 in the morning and had lunch. I did the laundry while she was more active and cheerful. She even went outside to watch a little chicken sleep. She even fed it with grasses which made me laugh. Hehe.

In the afternoon, I brought her to her pedia but she was not around so went to another pedia. It was so late in the afternoon and she required her to undergo three lab tests. I held her hand and distracted my girl when the lab personnel was pricking her tiny finger. Or maybe I distracted myself. Anyways, I fed her at McDonalds while waiting for the result. We later learned that she is negative for Typhoid fever but her WBC is high. She was not able to pee so no urinalysis was performed, thus, her pedia can’t tell the reason for her infection. *sigh* We were prescribed with antibiotics and cough syrup. We’ll have a follow-up checkup on Tuesday.

She likes this pedia more than her original pedia. It’s because she has Little Tykes toys at her waiting area and gives out lollipops and jelly to her patients. Haha!

I hope my girl gets better real soon. I don’t miss her constant chatter because she still is despite her condition. She lost weight and her doctor felt for her. She ate some French fries and sundae (the only stuff she wanted to eat) so her tummy isn’t that flat any more. I will surely be buying her almost anything that she wants to eat as soon as she gets her appetite back. We’ve been striving to make her gain more weight and just as when we were becoming successful, this happened. *sigh*

Mac and Cheese

Taking risks takes a toll on you, and you prefer your comfort food to be old fashioned.

Sick

And finally, I am happy with this blog’s template! Woot!

Unfortunately, I am attending to the needs of my sick girl. Hay. I came home to a girl with a high temperature yesterday – about 39 degrees Celcius. She was clingy and very irritated. She even cried upon seeing me. She was complaining of headache too and vomited before I arrived. She also complained of a bad tummy and refused to eat a decent meal since last night. I had to sponge bathe her and yeah, I did not have a good sleep. And I missed work. But I am happy to report that her fever receded. She is somehow eating fruits and drinking juice. This might be some form of viral infection and I am wondering where she got it. I hope she gets really better tonight or tomorrow morning. It’s painful to see her suffering. She’s as slim as a stick now. Yikes.

Anyways, tomorrow is another day. I hope things will finally look up. TGIF!

New Look

Tuesday, February 17, 2009

Welcome to my newly-renovated blog! I like what I see though I am still trying to tweak some things here. My main blog is so cute and clean now, go and see. However, my digiscrapping blog still needs MAJOR tweaking! It looks pathetic beside this blog and a major disaster beside my main blog! Haha! Anyways, I hope that tomorrow’s a better day. :)

Belated Valentine’s Gifts

Monday, February 16, 2009

What a way to start a week! I am mending a bad tummy. This began last night. I don’t why but it’s kinda bad. I hope it gets better soon. I am supposed to attend two meetings today and I was looking forward to it. *sigh*

On a lighter note, Wes just arrived from a week-long trip! But he had to leave for office. Hay. He is THAT dedicated to his work! And I am very thankful that the bosses acknowledge his hard work. He expects a promotion real soon! Woot!

And before I forget, here are his Valentine’s Day gifts for moi!

DSC_0655

A laptop bag and an MP4 player! Woot! My DSLR won’t be needing that pink bag anymore! And I can’t wait to read my ebooks using my MP4 player. Thanks, Babe! But most of all, thanks for your unconditional love! :)

Naks!

Move Over, Friendster?

Saturday, February 14, 2009

It seems that everyone is on Facebook right now. Does it mean that the glorious days of Friendster is over? I can’t tell! But one thing I am sure about is that Facebook is super cool! Through it, I got connected with a long lost friend! We had good years behind us and I am impressed to know that she is working and running a household, she is also taking classes in a medical assistant training school! What a super woman, if you ask me! I could have never found her again if not for Facebook. Thanks, Facebook!

And oh, before I forget, my Twitter friends found another activity to keep them, errr, us, busy. And that is playing Pet Society! Some of us are already addicted to it. I find it OK but I wish that there are more ways to earn coins so I can buy my pet more stuff. By the way, my pet’s name is Cheese Burger. Haha! That’s because as I was creating her (formerly “him”), Wes was heating on the oven a cheese burger for me! Sweeeet! I wanted to show Cheese Burger (the pet) here but when I visited just now, here’s what I got:

Hehe. Sorry folks! Next time it will be!

Saturday, the 14th

Thursday, February 12, 2009

Now, everyone is raving about the big V day on Saturday but the day that precedes is Friday, the 13th! Are you superstitious? :)

Well, let’s pretend that I did not say that. Let me ask you about your plans come February 14. Surely, you have one, right? At school, our Campus Ministry planned a 1-day retreat for couples. There will be a romantic dinner afterwards. Unfortunately, Wes is not around on that day. Thus, we won’t be able to attend it. He just have to compensate his absence with a gift, right Babe? Haha! Don’t worry, it’s not as expensive as my 30th birthday gift and I am not asking you to buy me a babydoll nightie either. Haha! Just this and I’ll be one happy camper:

I told you, I’m easy to please!

Anyway, I hope that my sick, cute, clingy, little, stinky girl gets well soon. I have been planning to take her out for lunch perhaps on that day and buy her something that she likes. A new toy, maybe? Though I don’t think her Dad will approve. Haha! Good thing he is not around to disapprove! LOL! It’s Valentine’s Day, Babe! :)

My Friendship Style

Your Friendship Style is Philosophical
You take every friendship you have seriously, and you spend a lot of time analyzing your friends.
You've thought a lot about what it means to be a good friend, and you hold yourself to your standard.

In return, you expect your friends to be loyal, honest, and real. You're somewhat picky about who you're friends with.
Fighting with your friends bothers you more than most people. You can't stop replaying arguments over and over in your head.

You and an Empathetic Friend: Try to understand one another. You approach life very differently, but you're willing to listen to one another.

You and a Gregarious Friend: Are a better match than expected. You understand and appreciate your Gregarious Friend's energy.

You and an Independent Friend: Get along pretty well, but you can't help but think your Independent Friend needs to learn better manners!

You and another Philosophical Friend: Are friends for life. You can get lost in your intense, interesting conversations... and maybe even change the world together!

Confused but Optimistic

We had our planning orientation yesterday and I am very much impressed by my boss! I was thinking that it would be the planning session itself but to my surprise, it was just an orientation! Anyways, we spent the entire day laying out things regarding our sector’s future. I was a bit shaken by the view of a former teacher regarding my status at the office. Honestly, he is kinda right. I have been saying that I love my job and it’s true! However, there are limitations and undefined roles. My boss is very aware of that and we hope that there will be clearer roles and tasks in the coming school year. It’s not a big concern yet. It’s a new post. As what Wes said, what matters is that I am learning while I am there. Right.

I was not scared when I transferred office. I am not afraid of the coming school year though it means more demands and challenges for us and for me. I am looking forward to school year 2009 – 2010: new challenges, new tasks and new people to work for and with. Bring it on! :)

I Things will get busier tomorrow since we are going to have a planning orientation for about 8 hours. Good luck to us. The boss expects too much from me. Yikes. So I will just bring every folder and paper and file that might help. Haha!

You all have a great Wednesday!

Just Some of Our Bests

Monday, February 9, 2009

This morning, we sent off two students who will be joining the AYLC 2009 in Cavite. It was so nice and kind of my boss to arrange our vehicle and he even went with us to the airport. And he was in his best mood, I could tell, because he treated us for lunch! Haha! There were three other delegates from three more schools who flew with them. They were quite impressed because of our presence, unlike them who came on their own. A funny thing though, because I was very attentive to our students’ needs, one of those three asked one of them I were his mom! I would love to use a dozen moth traps on him if he was a moth! Do I look THAT old? Hahahaha! Michael (see him here) is just 19 and I am just 30. Meaning, if I were his mom, I got pregnant when I was 11! Hahaha! Indeed, my boss and friends and I had a blast laughing at that comment.

Tomorrow, we will be sending off two more students. This time, they are Norway-bound! Woot! I can’t help but be excited for them. However, we are a bit worried because financially, we (meaning the boss and I) don’t think that they have enough. And secondly, they are not so ready for the weather there! I know they are pretty excited about seeing snow and the like. But my gosh, they are not prepared for it! Yikes. It was disappointing on our part that they did not update us regarding their itinerary. I was surprised to learn last Saturday that they will be leaving tomorrow! We even arranged for the opening of a bank account of one of them, just in case. And I have not drafted an excuse letter for them! Anyways, I’ve bugged two persons who will lend them with trench coats – my mom and a priest friend. Yay! Plus our HR will briefed them re international flights. We just hope that there won’t be any major problems that they’ll encounter. One of them was bugging me to go with them. Hah! As if it’s that easy. Haha!
