PR Agency Hunt
Nine months from now, the people of the Philippines will be once again electing the most powerful and influential leader in the country. As early as now, we can see various personalities spending millions on radio, TV and print ads in promoting their causes and candidacy. Surely, many of them availed of PR agencies similar to
San Diego California PR agency.
People involved in politics and business need a trusted, reliable and reputable PR agency these days. Famed PR agencies will help one succeed through various PR services like public relations, media relations, community relations, cause marketing, promotions, event and talent management and online marketing. However one must be wary when it comes to choosing a PR agency. One must first check the agency’s track record, its team’s capability and what its other clients have to say about the PR agency’s service. Hiring a PR agency is expensive, thus, one must be assured that he is investing on the right team who can help him achieve his goals.
Personal Shoppers
My friends and I are very fortunate to have friends abroad who find good deals for us when it comes to shopping. They shop for us and ship the items once the box is full. With the increasing number of their clients and bulk of the orders they get, I wonder if they’ll be needing the
MasterCard PCI compliant merchant solutions soon! Will they be expanding their service by opening an online shop? With the hard work and dedication that they’ve been showing, it is not impossible, if you ask me!
I am already anticipating the day I get my hands on the makeup stuff that I ordered. There were lots of eye makeup and lip gloss. I love lip gloss and I think I ordered four. Haha! Some will be given away, so it’s not hoarding, I tell yah. Other than that, I postponed the ordering of a gadget. It is so pretty and yet I don’t think I need another one. Haha! Not now. Not yet. ;)

Sports Development for Students
Just before I took a leave of absence from work, our sports coordinator approached me to ask for suggestions as he is required to look for some sports equipment for the varsities. Good thing I came across some baseball equipment for sale that morning. I showed it to him and he said he will take note of it. He stated that he is looking for durable, quality and affordable sports equipment so that he can get the approval of the administration for his proposal.
I agree with him on his assumption that sports is one of the best ways to leer students away from dangerous activities like drug-dependence, involvement in gangs and the likes. Aside from sports development, we also provide opportunities for students to develop their leadership skills and other talents that they have by supporting student organizations and governance and forming of socio-cultural groups like dance troupe and the band. These and more aim to help the students reach their potential and become valuable assets of the community.
Rainy Friday Morning Ramblings
We woke up to a very rainy morning today. I was planning not to send DD to school again, only to find a message on my mobile phone, from my father, saying that classes are suspended today. Very, very good! However, it is unfortunate that again, more households are suffering from the incessant flooding that affects many areas here in the city and the surrounding areas. My mom just informed me that their village too, is now flooded. It’s terrible, very terrible. Even the university is flooded. AGAIN. *sigh*
When will this stop?

Online Learning for Busy Moms
Staying at home for almost one month now makes me wonder how other moms do it. Despite the fact that they work from home, they also tend to the needs of their family plus do the household chores as well. Indeed, 24 hours is not enough to do all the tasks that a WAHM (work-at-home mom) needs to accomplish.
Good thing there are online colleges out there that caters to the needs of WAHMs who desires to pursue bachelor’s or graduate degree programs. Capella University is one. They offer graduate degree programs in business, information technology, education, human services, psychology, public health, and public safety. On the other hand, there’s business, information technology, and public safety as their bachelor’s degree program offerings.
So if you’re a busy WAHM but aims to be more knowledgeable on your chosen field of study, Capella University is the answer.

“New Moon” Teaser Trailer
And here’s a teaser trailer of Twilight’s “New Moon” to get you more excited about the movie:
It will be shown November 20, 2009. It’s a pity for me since there’s no decent movie house here in the city. I would have been more ecstatic if they’d delay the showing one month, just in time for our annual vacay in Pampanga. Haha!

I noticed that a lot of engaged couples opt to have their wedding in an island or some exotic place. It follows that destination weddings are the popular choice these days. The wedding can get pretty intimate with just family and close friends in attendance. What better way to treat your guests than providing the best island experience?
Karisma hotels on a secluded beach in the Riviera Maya Mexico offer a kind of service that fits the elite. Mango Float Recipe
The Husband arrived from a business trip yesterday aside from the four packs of chicharon that I requested (Yum-yum!), he also brought home three kilos of ripe mangoes. It means one kilo for each of us, right? Wrong! It is tough to feed my ward with fruits. I have to come up with creative strategies just to make them. Last week, he brought home pineapple fruits and fruit cocktails. I think I was the only who consumed the pineapple I painstakingly peeled. But I made fruit salad out of one of the canned fruit cocktails and it was a sure hit! They both like it frozen.
And for these ripe mangoes, I intend to make mango float out of them. Good thing I have the ingredients needed because I dislike going out of the house these days.
Anyways, here’s the recipe:
Ingredients:
4 ripe yellow mangoes, thinly sliced
1 can all-purpose cream
1 cans condensed milk
1 pack crushed graham cracker
Procedure:
1. Slice mangoes into thins wedges.
2. Combine milk and all-purpose cream.
3. Pour crushed Graham crackers on the bottom of a container.
4. Pour mixture over the Grahams.
5. Put mango wedges over the mixture.
6. Repeat by putting Grahams, milk and cream mixture and mango wedges until you’ve used them all.
7. Top with crushed Grahams.
8. Freeze overnight before serving.
Enjoy!

PlayFirst and Bunches of Books Coupons
I recently discovered these PlayFirst coupons online and we have been putting them into good use.
But then, we have different taste when it comes to the types of games that we play. He prefers actions, simulation and strategy games. On the other hand, I like puzzles, dash and time management games.
Another interest is reading. We have a collection of books about various topics. Our daughter likes to read too and she has her own collection of books. We love to scour book sale shops for good books. These days, I prefer online book-shopping because when you use Bunches of Books coupons additional discounts will apply on those already discounted books. That means more savings! And I am all for savings!

A Walk in the Park
DH left yesterday for an urgent meeting. I asked him if I can tag along and as expected, he declined. Haha! That’s so like him. He doesn’t like mixing pleasure and work. Oh well. I can try again next time. Again and again.
Actually, I wanted to visit that city again for a change of atmosphere. It’s a nice place, a very developed city. I am not only looking forward to a stroll at the mall but a visit at their famous park too. I wonder if there are also skateboard ramps for those young, active ones at that park since it has gigantic sculptures, fountains, open plaza and more. Truly, a complete hang out place where families can enjoy nature, feast on some amazing giant art and exercise (since there’s a lot of walking around)!
Surely, DD will enjoy strolling around this park. But then, the question I am throwing to DH is WHEN?! :D
Tuesday Morning Ramblings
Well, good morning to you! I woke up early today to prepare DD for her class.
Yesterday was a local holiday so we enjoyed a long weekend despite the fact that DH had to leave for a meeting yesterday. I planned to prepare spaghetti last weekend too, but DH and I suffered from colds big time! I was hesitant but I needed to take phenylpropanolamine. It made us (DH had to take too!) oh-so-sleepy that we slept mostly during the weekend. Now you know why I hate taking medications for colds. Good thing DD didn’t catch the bug though.
I am feeling a lot better now. I hope to accomplish many things on my to-do list this week. One of which is to attend a PTCA meeting this afternoon. I hope that it will end early since I hate staying out of the house these days.

Michael Jackson’s Unreleased Song
Anyways, here is the clip of the said song.
Starting Another Project
This morning, I woke up at the right side of the bed! Woot! And what made the beginning of my day happier was discovering that two of my blogs including this one is up and running! You see, last night, I can’t open them, thanks to our ISP. Good thing they got their act together and wa-lah – my blogs are OK again!
Anyways, it must be the positive energy that got me inspired to go for an unassuming task and that’s to make and give away a free digital scrapbooking template at my other blog. Take a peek and see here! I am excited about this endeavor and I just hope that I can sustain it. Hehe.
Anyways, it’s TGIF! I am so looking forward to spending the weekend with DD and DH. Like what I always say, they make me crazy but hey, they’re my life!
Happy weekend to you and yours!

For Kids Also!
One of my daughter’s close friend at school is already wearing eyeglasses at the age of 7. Too young, if you ask me. Good thing, we need not worry about our daughter’s vision YET. Her young eyes are very much OK despite the frequent reading of books and occasional playing of computer games. However, when that time comes, I know that there are
$ 8 Rx eyeglasses at Zenni Optical.
Many people are raving about Zenni Optical’s affordable, durable and stylish prescription eyeglasses for men, women and children. In fact, I was ecstatic when I saw Zenni Optical on TV!!! Zenni Optical is simply one of the best when it comes to prescription eyeglasses. And because of that, here’s a much-deserved High Five to Zenni Optical for doing a great job!
I Got Company!
And she used to be this cute:
Haha! Yeah, she is still cute but not as cute as this! This photo was taken when she was 2 years old. She used to love being photographed though there were times when she would give me a silly face. Haha!
Anyways, back to the present, my boss here is indeed home. Yup, you read that right. She’s my boss when I’m at home. Don’t ask me why. It’s their first day of exams and upon coming home around 10:00 this morning, she proudly announced that she got a perfect score in Science! Woot! That’s my girl!
This afternoon, she is scheduled for another round of reviewing for tomorrow’s exams. That is upon waking up from her nap. And I don’t know what time that will be. I have been asking her to sleep since we finished lunch but she won’t budge. But then, I can’t seem to hear her making any noise right now. It means she’s already asleep! Woot! Hopefully, she will have the zest, energy and drive to review later. Without much fuzz and drama. But then, knowing my daughter, I doubt it. Hahaha!
Losing Weight
Desperate situations call for desperate actions. That’s the thought I had last night when I sat down, looked down and saw how wide my waist expands. And by desperate action, I mean, taking into consideration the use of diet pills (again) to help me loose those unwanted fats. There are many diet pills out there in the market and the question is, which of them works? Well, thanks to the Internet, we can search and read reviews about the products that we want to try.
Personally, I prefer diet pills which are safe and work fast. What about you?
Compromise
Visiting a favorite website with lots of photos and short but oh-so-true quotes makes me happy. I am amazed by the talent of these people who are not only good with choosing the right words, but also the right photos that matches the quotes. And today, this caught my fancy:
Overseas Absentee Voting Primer
Are you a Filipino living overseas and wishing to cast your vote on the 2010 national elections? Through the Overseas Absentee Voting mechanism, you can! It was implemented in the Philippines in 2003 to provide an opportunity for Filipinos abroad to exercise their right in electing the President, Vice President, Senators and one Party-list Representative. Since it was approved last 2003 by the Congress, 300,000 Filipinos abroad registered to vote in the two-month registration period. However, only 142,000 Filipinos in the 13-month registration period for the 2007 elections.
In their effort to inform and update Filipinos living and working abroad on the voting registrations process for the 2010 elections, GMANews.TV prepared a short and interactive primer as a guide for the Filipinos living and working abroad on the voting registration process for the 2010 national elections. The primer can be viewed here.

Chocolate Lovers All
My friends over at Twitter were talking about chocolates. It seems that most of us are chocolate lovers. Be it local chocolates or imported ones. I am a self-confessed chocoholic. Mostly dark and milk chocolate ones. With or without nuts. I am not much into white chocolates though. They don’t taste chocolatey for me. DH is aware of this addiction. He even sent me some heart-shaped ones in a fancy packaging some years ago when we were courting. Sweeet!
These days, he usually buys me a bar or two when he comes home from a long trip. My favorite includes Hershey’s, Toblerone and Cadbury. Jeff’s fiancée, Tel, brought us a box of Jessica Walker chocolate when he came for a visit from Australia last Christmas and boy, I hid it until there was nothing left! I shared it with DH, of course. Haha!
For almost a month now, I have been keeping a giant bar of Hershey’s Symphony. I have no intentions of opening it yet. But, but… thanks to the incessant talks about chocolates, I might do so later, as my reward to my hardworking self. Hehe.
