I am very grateful that I listened to my home economics teacher and an aunt when they insisted that I learn how to use needles and thread. The skills surely come in handy. I even did some cross-stitching during college. However, I never learned how to operate a sewing machine no matter how hard my aunt convinced me to try. I told her that I would rather learn how to operate the ariens mowers rather than take a chance with her sewing machine that looks intimidating to me. Honestly, I was too afraid that I might lose control and run the needle straight into my fingers! My hand-feet coordination is beyond poor so I refused and ignored her prodding with all my might!
Anyway, this morning, I did something which I have not done for a long time. That is, open my sewing kit and work on some of our clothes that need minor repairs. I have been delaying this task for quite some time now. However, there is this one blouse that needs some stitches and I have been wanting to wear since last week. That certainly motivated me to delay no more and it took me 10 minutes tops to finish the task. It was not that tough really. I was just being me – a procrastinator. Hahaha!
