Hello, Laundry Day!

It’s Thursday and I have just finished doing the laundry. I have a heavy load this week and I think I need a full 2-hour rest because I feel sooo tired. I do not look forward to laundry day, really. But someone’s got to do it! And I am grateful for a sunny day.

Our washing machine has a spin dryer but I still hang our clothes to really get it dry. The uniforms of my husband and daughter, I usually hand wash and I have a brother in-law to thank for giving me a tip on which detergent best helps whiten clothes. I rarely use fabric conditioners, except for towels and linens. However, I hope that we can buy water softeners that lessens the calcium and magnesium content of water. It will help us save on detergents, prevent lime buildup on appliances, thus preventing damage. Water softeners also leave hair and skin feeling smoother and less dry and for me, that’s the best benefit! :)
