Midnight Snacks
Saturday, March 26, 2011
For several nights now, I have been snacking on these:

I find it ironic because last night, I was reading a review about oxyelite pro which claims to be the ultimate diet pill. However, there are oxyelite pro side effects and the review that I read says that this product is far from being “elite”.
Truly, the search for diet pills that really work is a feat, thus, it is best that we watch what we eat, live an active lifestyle and get enough sleep. Look WHO’s talking! Hahaha! But hey, I just weighed myself after a heavy dinner tonight and I am still at my ideal weight. Way to go me! :)
Poor People & Other Disturbing Realities?

This alleged signage is said to be posted at the Greenbelt complex:
It made its rounds on the Internet since yesterday and we all have read and listened to various reactions about the issue. The Ayala Malls management has already released a statement regarding the issue on their Facebook page. It reads:
This is regarding the alleged signage that has been posted today, 24 March 2011, at the Greenbelt mall, a photo of which has been circulating online. This signage is not authorized and is not part of Greenbelt’s official mall signage.
The Ayala Malls Management does not tolerate such pranks and is currently investigating the matter. We shall be coordinating with the proper authorities for corresponding actions to be taken.
We would like to reassure everyone that Greenbelt is for the enjoyment of the public and the community it serves.
It is unfortunate that there are people out there who have plenty of time in their hands that they use it to pull pranks like this one. And since transfer of information is very fast and convenient these days, we should all be watchful and careful on what we believe and share with others.

I was supposed to have some salon time this morning and do some last minute shopping. Aside from some summer wear, a dress for an event, and a new pair of shoes, I also need to find a rocawear shirt for a friend. He specifically asked for one when he learned about my trip back to my first home very soon. But since I worked and slept late last night, I feel sluggish and very sleepy. Moreover, the laundry needs to be folded, online tasks have to be accomplished and a set of maternity shots has to be post-processed.
What to do then? I have already asked my husband through SMS if he is willing to accompany me in doing the errands tomorrow and he said yes. Yay! Hopefully, we can also find a nice pair of shoes for him for summer. So yes, I am going shopping with the Husband! This is going to be fun!
Pink, Flowers and Glitters
And just why do I *heart* this? Because it’s pink, floral and with a dash of glitters. :)

A Well-Deserved Day Off Part 1
Tuesday, March 22, 2011
I have been slacking badly that I failed to share with you some of the fun things I did in the previous weeks. One of those is a well-deserved day off with a very old friend of mine. We have been classmates since high school and she is one of the wackiest in our bunch. I like hanging out with her because she amuses me and can knock some sense into me. Most of the time, that is.
Anyway, it was one fine Wednesday (one of her days off from work) when she came for a visit. I met her at the mall and we proceeded to the Air Force Park in Clark for some sight seeing and being shutter bugs, for photo opps, of course. We took turns to take photos of each other secretly and I give her credit for this lovely photo HERE. However, I was able to take nice photos of her too, if I may say, despite violent protests on her part. Take a look:
In between taking photos, we exchanged anecdotes from the past and the present. It is fun to know her life at work which is totally different from my job in the past. We also talked about and had so much laugh on our imaginary pack of high breed dogs and their highly skilled yet funny caregiver. When we finally got tired, we rested by the swing and ate ice drops. Once we’ve gained enough energy, we decided to head back to the city for a very late lunch.
To be continued…
Officially, It’s Summer!
I remember the days when I need my blanket to keep my warm during my early afternoon naps. Those were the days indeed because as you can see, summer has officially started:
It is already late in the afternoon and yet the temperature feels like it’s still high noon! If there is a day that I would be more than happy to see the temperature this high, it’s laundry day – come Thursday or Friday.
Read more...If You Could See Me Now by Cecilia Ahern
Monday, March 7, 2011
It’s been months since I last finished a book. A fiction, that is. Last night. I skimmed through my collection of ebooks on my iTouch and chanced upon If You Could See Me Now by Cecilia Ahern. She is an author who is highly recommended by my friends but it is the first time that I read a book by her. Initially, I did not read its synopsis and I thought that not knowing the plot adds to the excitement. However, I was *forced* to Google it because I wanted to know what will happen towards the end. As if the description will give it away, eh? Haha!
Anyway, I am now an official Cecilia Ahern fan and off I go now to read another book from her. And the synopsis of If You Could See Me Now reads:
Read more...Everything in Elizabeth Egan’s life has its place, from the espresso cups in her gleaming kitchen to the swatches and paint pots of her interior design business. Order and precision keep life under control—and keep Elizabeth’s heart from the pain and hurt she has suffered in the past. Being a reluctant mother to her six-year-old nephew while trying to keep her business on track is a full-time job for Elizabeth, and one that leaves little room for error—or fun.
Until, one day, Ivan unexpectedly comes into their lives. The mysterious Ivan is carefree, spontaneous and always looking for adventure—everything that Elizabeth is not. If You Could See Me Now is the extraordinary tale of Ivan and Elizabeth. Of how Ivan meets the love of his life before she even sees him, and how he teaches her that life is only worth living when it's blindingly colourful and the occasional mess. Yet just when Elizabeth is starting to trust him, it turns out that Ivan isn't at all who she thought he was.
Our Baby
Sunday, March 6, 2011
Our only daughter will celebrate her birthday very soon but I can still remember the day I give birth to her like it happened yesterday. Her father had no arturo fuente cigars to give out when she came out but surely, many came to pay us a visit and see our new bundle of joy. She was and still is, our bundle of joy, though not that small anymore. And until now, we celebrate and take note of her small and big milestones. She knows that no matter how big she is now and will be, she will always be our baby.

Early this week, I resolved to going back to my workout routine and mindful eating. And just when I am doing that, I started craving for anything and everything sweet! Just yesterday, I saw this photo that made me want to eat chocolate covered strawberries pronto!
But since strawberries are rare these days, I just have to be contented with M&M chocolates.
I have also been complaining about my sore muscles for about five days now. It’s not surprising because it has been three long months since I stopped. I know that the pain is just temporary and I should get moving to achieve my desired results again.

A day late, I know but then here we go:
- The long weekend in Bicol with my family to attend my goddaughter Cate’s christening. Everything related to it – our host family, the Mayon, food, weather, the event itself and everything are just perfect!
- My new purple thingamajig that lets me blog even if I was on a trip.
- It’s March! Hello summer!
- The drive to be physically active again, albeit sore muscles.
- Upcoming weekend. It’s going to be busy and crazy but I know it’s going to be fun!
