How to motivate yourself to exercise:
SHOP. It is never exciting to see yourself with a ratty old sweats and a baggy shirt. Find yourself a good looking exercise outfit. Buying something with the right color and cut will take off pounds and improve your self perception immediately. Just make sure you buy something which stretches so that it fits while you are losing weight.
FIND A FRIEND. Sign up together with a friend who also wants to get into shape. It doesn’t have to be going to the gym. Jog, run, swim or just walk your dogs together. It is tougher to slack if someone is counting on you to show up. You can even talk via online video conferencing to update each other if one of you is on a trip.
MIX IT UP. Your exercise routine, if you have been doing it for quite some time can be boring. Try mixing them up and switch routines periodically. It will make exercising more fun for you.
FIND AN OLD PHOTO. Post an old photo when you were at your best shape. Use it as an inspiration and a visual reminder that you have a goal to reach.
DO MORNINGS. Morning exercises invigorates and a good way to start your day. It makes you feel good about yourself too because you know that you did something good at the beginning of the day.
