It's difficult to avoid snacking, when the option is available to us. Especially when you know you need to lose weight, or you're stressed and unhappy. Snacks won't make you feel better though, and in order to keep healthy, you should cut back. Try out these tips to avoid snacking.
Water is not only good for you, it also helps to fill you up. Try and drink a whole pint at a time. That way you'll feel full for longer, while you do the chores, play at www.binguez.es/
, and watch TV. If you've eaten beforehand, water is great at making the food swell up, further killing your appetite.
Substitute with fruit and vegetables.
When you feel a craving for a snack, try and eat a piece of fruit. A banana, some grapes or an apple would suffice. Plus they're full of vitamins you need on a daily basis. Maybe try and eat your recommended five a day.
Brush your teeth.
Food doesn't tend to taste very good after you've brushed your teeth. It's too minty, and makes food taste like chemicals. Therefore you won't feel as tempted to snack as you would otherwise.
What's in your fridge?
Only stock up your fridge with low calorie, low fat foods. In fact, try and stay away from the kitchen if you can. And don't load your cupboards up with snacks and junk food. Buying it gives you incentive to eat it.
You'll snack later.
Lie to yourself, and say you will snack later on, before finding yourself something else to do. Put it off and off until it's time for one of your regular meals; breakfast, lunch or dinner. Try and eat dinners which are filling. Salad on its own will make you hungry again later.
Write a list.
Every time you eat, jot it down and read it over whenever you think you want a snack. Seeing it will help discourage you, because you can't lie to yourself that way.
