Bed Mates

Our bed fits 13 creatures! Here’s the proof:

Hehe. The big, pink bear is Rosie. The brown one is Boy Tots. The pink and small, pink bear is Pinky. The twin white bears in green shirts are Teddy and Bear. There’s Strawberry Shortcake, Froggy the Frog, Hippo the purple hippo, Bunny the pink bunny and Moosie the moose. Except for Boy Tots, Strawberry Shortcake and Pinky, all of them were brought from our recent vacation trip. Thanks to Laurence, Ted and Auntie Rose. And since Wes thinks that those poor thing will get lost in the mountain of toys, he ordered that they will be staying on our bed. Of course, they do multiply every now and then.From what I can see from where I sit down, a bigger frog and a monkey already joined the party! Haha!

Today (7/30/2012)

Outside my window… a silent and very cold night.

 

I am thinking… of applying the techniques that I learned last weekend from a workshop. However, I think that I need to prioritize sleep.
I am thankful for… the said workshop that made me learn new things and meet new friends.
From the kitchen… pork tocino, fried rice and sautéed vegetables.

I am wearing… my favorite purple shirt and red pajamas.
I am creating… a pretty chibi doll tomorrow (crossing fingers).

I am going…to sleep earlier than usual tonight.
I am reading… the Bible and striving to do it daily.

I am hoping… to finally find time and read about equote.com life insurance no medical questions. A friend forwarded it to me last week and I need to go over it before making any decision.
I am hearing… just the fan which I hope to turn off because it’s too cold tonight!
Around the house…people sleeping.
One of my favorite things… my new furry pet but she’s a stuffed toy though. A cat at that!
A few plans for the rest of the week: Create. Blog. Finish the usual weekly household chores.

Rock Star Party

It seems that glam rock/ rock star themed party is the in thing nowadays. A lot of my friends’ daughters opt this theme and it’s a fresh choice veering away from the dainty and fancy Disney Princesses. The usual colors for this theme are hot pink and black. And what’s the best thing to truly emulate a rock star  party? The presence of a rock band with blackstar effects pedals Musicians friend, of course! Their music will certainly rock the party and make everyone go home happy and impressed.

A friend of mine is already preparing for her daughter’s party sometime this year with the abovementioned theme and yes, she’s looking for a rock band as early as now. I hope she finds a really good one.

Hi!

It has been a while so pardon the blog dusts that have gathered around here. I have been busy with a new endeavor which I hope to share with you in the coming days. It is has been eating a lot of my time (thus explaining the lack of updates here) but I find it very exciting and has a lot of potentials.

Anyway, we are off to a nearby province to meet new friends and learn new things. It is going to be a busy yet fun weekend and I hope you are enjoying yours too.

Today (7/15/2012)

Outside my window… a sunshiney, bright day.
I am thinking… replacing the kitchen’s light source with a nicer

luminaire lighting. I heard that it is better than what we have right now.

I am thankful for… the super Saturday that we had yesterday with my friends. 
From the kitchen… crispy pata courtesy of the husband who bought it from a nearby store. One reason why I love our place.
I am wearing… my favorite pink t-shirt and blue sparkly pajamas.
I am creating… some blog posts as I am trying to beat the deadline!
I am going…to create some really nice baptismal souvenirs for a special baby boy tomorrow.
I am reading…  The Power of a Praying Woman by Stormie Omartian. I personally think that she wrote this book for me. Haha!
I am hearing… a basketball league being played somewhere near.
Around the house…a girl reading her books (or probably making a mess in her room) while I am cramming (as usual) and waiting for her Dad from an errand.
One of my favorite things… my clay extruder! It is one of my used tool when I play with clay.

Timing

It is rare that we go and pay the Urban Jungle a visit. It is usually worth it because we get to see my friends there and some relatives. Personally, I find it refreshing to see them in person even if most of us talk daily. Anyway, today is one of those days as I stood as a godparent to one of my friends’ daughter. We were able to board a bus for the metro as it was leaving the terminal. Once we arrived, the traffic was horrible as usual. We passed by some vehicles that encountered road mishaps while there were motorcycles that could have been helped by TireExpress.com for motorcycle tires if they have only checked the website. Those problems caused the traffic. I thought that we could not even make it to the baptismal rites but fortunately, we did!

On our way home, we were able to board the bus in time before a very heavy rainfall occurred. The major roads were already flooded when we passed by. It could have been a disaster if we were walking on the roads, trying to find a ride with me wearing a dress and us girls, wearing our floral cloth ballet flats.
